Peterhead Masonic Temple has undergone a significant programme of refurbishment and improvement, enhancing both the facilities and accessibility of the building for members and visitors.
These works ensure the Temple continues to provide a welcoming, modern, and functional environment while preserving its traditions and purpose.
Key Improvements
A wide range of upgrades have been carried out throughout the building, including:
- A new entrance to the Lodge Room, improving access and layout
- Installation of a lift, providing access from the Ground Floor to the 1st and 2nd floors
- New toilet facilities across multiple levels
- Upgrades to social and function areas
- Improvements to lighting, roofing, and general décor
Ground Floor
Enhancements on the Ground Floor include:
- A new entrance to the Lodge Room
- Additional toilet facilities
These changes improve both accessibility and the overall flow of the building.
First Floor
The First Floor has been significantly upgraded to enhance comfort and usability:
- New Male and Female toilets
- The main function hall redecorated
- Installation of improved roofing and lighting
- Refurbishment of the bar area including 85″ 4K TV
These improvements provide a more modern and welcoming space for events and gatherings.
Second Floor
The Second Floor has seen extensive refurbishment and redevelopment:
- New Male and Female toilets
- The former Peacock Lounge has been fully refurbished and is now the C.B.K Lounge
- The snooker room refurbished
- The kitchen improved and modernised
- Creation of a cloakroom / dressing room
These upgrades enhance both social and functional areas within the Temple.
Future Works
Further improvements are planned to continue the development of the Temple, including:
- Installation of new windows across all levels
- Digital Honour Board within the Lodge Anti-room for use by the various Lodges & Orders
- Continued refurbishment throughout the building
- Additional roof works and maintenance
